A nice trick to cool you down is to wet the gaiter and then wear it around your neck. It’ll help to cool you down really quick. It’s great to take along on a backpacking trip, through-hiking trails or camping, it’ll keep you neck protected from the sun and dust in hot weather. You can’t avoid the sore feet, but you can avoid a painful sun burn. No one likes those!

And in cold weather wear it around the neck and seal it with a jacket to keep all that warmth from escaping your upper body. For double warmth use it as a beanie and wear your cap over it.
